David Brooks
David Brooks is one of the nation’s leading writers and commentators. He is an op-ed columnist for The New York Times, a writer for The Atlantic, and appears regularly on PBS News Hour.
He is the bestselling author of The Second Mountain, The Road to Character, The Social Animal, Bobos in Paradise, and On Paradise Drive.
He has been awarded more than 30 honorary degrees from American colleges and universities and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Brooks was a Senior Fellow at Yale’s Jackson Institute and currently serves as chair of Weave: The Social Fabric Project at the Aspen Institute in Washington, D.C
Judy Woodruff
Judy Woodruff is a senior correspondent and the former anchor and managing editor of the PBS News Hour. She has covered politics and other news for five decades at NBC, CNN and PBS.
Woodruff is a founding co-chair of the International Women's Media Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging women in journalism and communication industries worldwide.
She is the recipient of an Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as the Radcliffe Medal, the Poynter Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism, the Gwen Ifill Press Freedom Award from the Committee to Protect Journalists and the Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism from Arizona State University.
She is the recipient of more than 25 honorary degrees.
