March 21, 1775
Washington attends the Second Virginia Convention in Richmond, where delegates deliberate on the proceedings of the First Continental Congress. During the day's session, the convention hears reports from their seven delegates to the Congress and engages in discussions regarding its outcomes. In the evening, Washington dines at Cooley's Tavern, a well-known establishment near the intersection of what would later become Main and Twenty-second streets in Richmond.
