The HVAC system that was installed in the cellar of the Mansion in 1999 has been removed to make way for a more efficient mechanical system. Removal of the old ductwork has allowed us to view parts of the Mansion’s stone foundation, hidden for nearly 25 years.
In the meantime, a temporary, flexible ductwork has been installed, allowing Mount Vernon’s Preservation team to continue their cellar work as part of the landmark Mansion Revitalization project.
