Make History with Us! This special evening has hosted the Washington, D.C. government affairs community for the last 23 years on the east lawn of Mount Vernon estate. Guests include association CEOs, corporate executives, and consulting firm leadership, along with policy makers. This annual event, in its 24th year, has raised over $10 million for Mount Vernon’s mission of education, historic preservation, and the legacy of our foremost founding father, George Washington. In return, the event offers the government affairs community a meaningful networking opportunity and a unique entertainment venue while supporting an important philanthropic mission.

America250 and Mount Vernon As the nation looks to America250 celebrations in 2026, this patriotic event offers a meaningful partnership for organizations who are looking to connect and support our country’s history in the lead up to America’s 250th birthday. Mount Vernon stands as a symbol of the origins of our free and Democratic country by living the principles of our foremost founding father, George Washington - the Indispensable Man for America’s independence. Washington and our founding fathers built the foundation for a nation whose citizens would be free, working toward a more perfect union that has endured for 250 years.
