Tour Details
Private Evening Tours are available year-round by reservation. They begin as early as 5:00 p.m. from November through February and 6:00 p.m. during the remainder of the year. Depending on the group size and itinerary, tours may last from 60 to 90 minutes.

Larger groups will experience an "open house" tour with guides stationed through the Mansion. Although visitors will primarily be in the Mansion (limited visitation of the grounds is available upon pre-arrangement), please be aware that there is a good deal of walking involved on pathways of cobblestone, brick, and gravel. Comfortable shoes are encouraged!

Deposits and Payment Policy
Private Evening Tour rates are $30 per person with a minimum charge of $1,000. If your group consists of more than 100 people, a reduced rate of $27 per person is applicable. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is due 30 days before your scheduled arrival or at the time another group expresses interest in reserving the same date. Upon receipt of your deposit, the date you have requested will be reserved exclusively for your group. You may pay the balance upon arrival or in advance.

Cancellation Policy
Mount Vernon reserves the right to cancel a reservation at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.

Estate Policies
Private Evening Tours are not available for political events or personal occasions including but not limited to weddings, anniversaries, and bar/bat mitzvahs. Mount Vernon reserves the right to make last-minute tour changes due to weather, restoration activities, and visitor abilities. Photography is not allowed in the Mansion. No food, beverages, or smoking is permitted on the estate.
